Having been in business since the 1980s, Loh Kei Duck Meat Koay Teow Th'ng has long garnered a huge crowd of loyal eaters around Penang. In fact, this place is well-known for as one of the best Koay Teow Soup in Penang. The soup here is extremely sweet and addictive without MSG added.
If you missed out the morning session, this same stall is available at the Pulau Tikus Market in the evening.
Like the name implies, the koay teow soup here are served in duck broths.
The broths are prepared fresh daily with a lot of pork bones, ducks, anchovies, along with some family secret ingredients, cooked for 4-5 hours before serving.
It is no wonder the extreme sweetness found here does not require any MSG enhancement.

Besides the sweet soup base, generous amount of fried pork lards were added on the koay teow soup.
It plays an important role on the taste buds; which in turns attracts the never ending crowds of loyal eaters who comes back regularly.

Getting a plate of thinly sliced duck meat is a must to pair with the noodles and broth.
